Paper talk: Inter, Moratti's possible return date revealed, Juve set sights on exciting Italian prospects
Moratti’s return, however, could even happen sooner as he could be appointed as new Inter president without the purchase of any stake in the club. Inter’s board will have an operative meeting this month and the appointment of Moratti could happen as early as that.
Inter legend Javier Zanetti could become Inter’s executive vice-president (the same role of Pavel Nedved at Juventus).
Meantime, Tuttosport reports that Juventus are scouting some of the best prospects around Italy and that a new partnership with Empoli could be set up soon.
Boca Juniors’ star Rodrigo Bentancur will move to the J Stadium in summer and the Old Lady could decide to sell him on loan at Empoli in the 2017-18 campaign, provided that the Tuscans manage to survive in Serie A this season.
There are also a couple of Empoli starlets which Juventus are interested in: Alberto Picchi (19, midfielder) and Alessandro Piu (20, striker) who are actually on loan at Spal and Spezia in Serie B.
Juventus and Empoli are known to be on very good terms. The likes of Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio have begun their professional careers playing for the Tuscans. Matheus Pereira and Andres Tello, moved from Juve to Empoli on loan last summer.
