PAPER TALK: Chelsea & Manchester United in chase for Donnarumma; Conte turns his attention to Lazio defender
Chelsea and Manchester United are just two of Europe’s heavyweight clubs monitoring the situation with Milan’s young goalkeeping sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma. Tuttosport claims that although the 17-year-old has a verbal agreement in place to renew his current deal after he turns 18 next February, his agent, Mino Raiola, aware of the outside interest in his client may ask the club’s new CEO Marco Fassone and new Sporting Director Massimo Mirabelli, for an even bigger increase in the player’s salary.
The current agreement is believed to be for an extension until 2022 worth around €2 million a season; the journal suggests however, that Raiola will use the potential interest from the Premier League duo and also that of Real Madrid, as a bargaining tool to get his client an improved deal.
