Paper Talk: Juventus resume interest in Donnarumma, Nainggolan explains Chelsea snub
According to QS the Old Lady has resumed her interest in the talented goalkeeper given that new contract talks with AC Milan have been put on hold. The player’s agent Mino Raiola wants to meet new Chinese investors before committing Donnarumma’s future to AC Milan.
Chinese consortium Sino-Europe have postponed the club’s takeover to the 3rd of March and identities of many members of the consortium are still unknown to AC Milan representatives and to the general public as well.
That’s why Juventus still hope to persuade Buffon’s designated heir.
Meantime, AS Roma star Radja Nainggolan has released an interview with Sky Italia revealing why he decided to snub a move to Chelsea last summer. The Belgium International is a long time target of Antonio Conte and Roma rejected several offers for the former Cagliari star last summer.
The midfield star also decided not to enter transfer talks with Chelsea and has recently signed a new contract with his club, though he’s now expected to agree a new deal with a pay rise. Nainggolan’s current Roma deal runs until 2020.
“I was in contact with some Premier League clubs, but I decided to stay at AS Roma. There are a few promises that I made to the club, I’m doing what I was supposed to.”
