Juventus coach Massimo Allegri has always had a fondness for Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Tuttosport claims that the 49-year-old tactician is about to try to finally land the 29-year-old Chelsea player. The bianconeri has been searching for a replacement for Paul Pogba and having already lost out on Andre Gomes and with another Chelsea midfielder, Serbian Nemanja Matic, seemingly key to new boss Antonio Conte’s plans this season, Fabregas has emerged as the new number one target.

The Blues paid Barcelona €33 million for the player back in 2014 and Allegri has been a long-time admirer ever since his time in charge at Milan. According to the Turin based journal, the Spaniard tops the Juve wish-list with Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic and Roma’s Leandro Paredes a close second and third respectively. With bianconeri striker Simone Zaza about to be sold to Wolfsburg for €25 million, funds may be instantly available to make an assault for the Spanish midfielder.
