PAPER TALK: Zaza pushes Gabigol towards Juve, Inter consider Insigne and make improved J.Mario bid

We’ve just entered the most crucial phase of the summer transfer window. With many Italian Serie A clubs that have yet to complete their squads making new signings, today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport focus on Inter as the nerazzurri want to make the most of Lorenzo Insigne’s contract-extension anxiety with Napoli.

The player’s agent has asked a new contract; otherwise he would consider his client’s move to any European club that have knocked on his door for the talented Italy International. The nerazzurri are monitoring the situation and could make an official proposal to Napoli, especially if they’d receive concrete offers for Perisic.

Meantime, the nerazzurri are closing in on the signing of Joao Mario. Intermediary Kia Joorabchian is in Lisbon to negotiate with Sporting Lisbon and has offered € 45 million plus € 5 million bonus. The Portuguese’s release clause is set to € 60 million.

Inter however, are facing fierce competition for Gabriel Barbosa, commonly known as Gabigol. Leicester City have made a better offer than the nerazzurri and Atletico Madrid have also joined race for the Brazilian starlet.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus could also make a new offer for the 19-year-old given that Simone Zaza is completing a switch to Wolfsburg.
