Juventus are edging closer to securing the services of Barcelona full-back Dani Alves. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the 33-year-old Brazilian could even rescind his contract with the Catalan giants despite 12 months still remaining on it. That would leave him free to head to Serie A next season.

The Italian champions have proposed a two-year deal for the player, with an option for a further one. The salary is reported to be €3.5 million a season plus bonus. Alves was picked up originally by Sevilla for €550,000 before being sold to Barcelona for €35 million. Meanwhile the pink journal also states that the bianconeri’s assault on teammate Javier Mascherano will be more complicated. The Catalan giants consider the combative Argentine as unsellable and there is also a stumbling block over the player’s personal terms.
