Paper Talk: Verratti agent gives Chelsea hope; Serie A duel for Depay; Cellino to sell Leeds United
The agent of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has told Rai Sport that if the French press keep attacking his client, he could leave the club in January. Speaking on Zona 11pm Mercato, Donato Di Campli explained that; “Verratti wants to win at PSG but if these attacks from the French media continue then Marco will evaluate his position and will probably leave Paris”.
Chelsea are just one of a host of clubs who have expressed an interest in the 23-year-old but they will face strong competition from both Juventus and Inter should the Italian international seek pastures new. Verratti was in the last night’s starting XI that won 1-0 against Lille in the Ligue 1 championship.
