    PAPER TALK: Spurs reject Milan offer for Lamela; Insigne wanted by Liverpool and Spurs

    La Gazzetta dello Sport has backed up claims by the London Evening Standard that Spurs have rejected any move from Milan for Argentine play-maker Erik Lamela. Rossoneri chiefs were in London last weekend to observe Chelsea v Leicester City and begin talks to try to bring Cesc Fabregas to the San Siro in January. The pink journal has also stated that they also made enquiries with Spurs over their 24-year-old who is in great form once again this season.
    Only recently, the player disclosed in an interview that he still missed living in Rome and would one day like to return to play for AS Roma, the club where he spent two seasons from 2011-13. It’s believed that Milan offered somewhere in the region of £17 million to the North London club, a proposal which was immediately rejected.

    Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne’s future at the club is in serious doubt. Having been booed off the field when he was substituted in Wednesday’s 2-3 home defeat by Besiktas in the Champions League, the Corriere dello Sport believes his time at his hometown club is coming to an end. Still stalling on a new deal, the 25-year-old is being closely monitored by both Spurs and Liverpool, whilst there is also interest from Inter and Valencia, now under the tutelage of Cesare Prandelli.

    Milan striker Carlos Bacca has told Corriere dello Sport that he’s still unsure if his future will be with the club next season. Having rejected a move to West Ham last summer, the 29-year-old Colombian explained that it would “Depend where the club finishes in the Serie A table”.
     
    La Repubblica believes that Juventus will try to prize 17-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma away from Milan. The journal suggests the bianconeri will get the jump on both Chelsea and Real Madrid fir the highly-rated youngster.

    states that Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen will sign a new deal at White Hart Lane next month. The 29-year-old Belgian has been linked with AC Milan in the past.
