    Milan CB Zapata will undergo surgery: Paletta will stay

    The Colombian defender Cristian Zapata –who has recently extended his deal with AC Milan until June 2019- risks to remain out of the pitch for the next three months.

    Through its official website, the Lombard club has announced that the 29-year-old has suffered a calf-injury while playing for his national team at the Copa America, and will undergo surgery.

    Awaiting to sign Mateo Musacchio, the rossoneri have blocked the transfer of Gabriel Paletta and could probably swoop on Sion 24-year-old Leo Lacroix or Bayer Leverkusen 20-year-old Jonathan Tah.
