No Inter for Villas Boas: he's heading towards the Bundesliga
With Frank de Boer’s future as Inter coach hanging by the slenderest of threads, one of the men tipped to be his possible successor, Andre Villas Boas, looks to be out of the running. German sports journal Kicker claims that the former Porto, Chelsea, Spurs and Zenit St Petersburg boss is now one of the favourites to land the vacant position at Wolfsburg.
The Bundesliga club are looking for a replacement for Dieter Hecking who was sacked a couple of weeks ago and the Portuguese tactician along with former Belgian national team boss Marc Wilmots, are the two front-runners for the post.
Inter have also been linked with former PSG coach Laurent Blanc but with Villa Boas now seemingly out of contention, the hot favourite to succeed the Dutchman is former Lazio coach Stefano Pioli who has been out of work since his dismissal from the club from the Italian capital towards the end of last season.
