Napoli, the stumbling block in a possible move for Zaza
The father and agent of Simone Zaza has explained that they would be willing to talk to Napoli about a possible January. The 25-year-old Italian striker has had a disappointing time in the Premier League since joining West Ham United on-loan from Juventus. With no goals in his opening nine appearances with the Hammers, the London side will have to make the deal permanent if he makes at least 14 appearances this season. Coach Slaven Bilic is not convinced and may look to offload sooner rather than later.
The problem surrounding any return to Serie A is Zaza’s salary and in the case of Napoli supporters, the fact that he had a chance to go to the vesuviani before opting for the Premier League. Sarri would have no problem inserting the player into a 4-3-3 system and when Milik returns to fitness, he would have an embarrassment of riches up front. Unfortunately, President De Laurentiis has his eye on other targets, namely Diego Simeone Jr from Genoa.
