West Ham in talks with Napoli over possible Zaza-Gabbiadini exchange

According to reports from the Daily Star, West Ham United and Napoli are in talks over a possible exchange deal between Simone Zaza and Manolo Gabbiadini.
“25-year-old Zaza has disappointed since his summer arrival on-loan from Juventus and has yet to score for the Hammers in nine appearances. Just one more appearance will trigger a buy-out clause of around £17 million and boss Slaven Bilic is ready to cut his losses and send the Italian international back to Serie A.

Now the power brokers at the East London club are considering whether to activate that buy-out option and sell Zaza to Napoli in exchange for another Italian striker Gabbiadini. The 24-year-old has failed to fill the boots of injured frontman Arek Milik and coach Maurizio Sarri looks to have lost patience despite his President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, publicly stating that he should adjust the teams tactics to suit the former Sampdoria striker. Bilic on the other hand, is thought to be undecided as to whether Gabbiadini is the answer to his striking problems.
