Thanks to an amazing 5-0 win over the Danish side, Maurizio Sarri’s lads snatched a qualification to the knock-out stage with two games still to be played.
“We want to secure the qualification to the next stage in this game”, the manager told the media ahead of the game.
“We hope to win our group in order to have a small advantage in the draw. The guys are aware that Europe League is an important competition.”
Dries Mertens was ruled out for the game due to an injury, while Gonzalo Higuain was benched and Manolo Gabbiadini started up front netting a brace.
