Napoli target Drogba; "I want to continue playing. At the end of the season I can do what I want"

Having been recently linked with a January move to Napoli, Ivorian striker Didier Drogba has been speaking to RTL about his future. The 38-year-old explained that; “My contract is up at the end of season and then I’ll be free to do what I want. I think I want to continue playing even if I don’t know what will happen if we win the MLS championship. I want to keep playing and having fun, I’m not tired mentally, I still feel like a small child”.

The former Chelsea legend is believed to have been considered by Napoli as a short-term replacement for the injured Arek Milik who now looks to be out of action until the spring. Drogba could arrive on a pay as you play basis whilst the MLS is on its winter recess. When Calciomercato.com approached his current club Montreal Impact, the Canadian’s declined to comment on any rumours linking him with a move to Serie A.
