Napoli Focus: Injured Milik won't be back in January | by Giovanni Scotto

It looks like Arkadiusz Milik may have overstated the case when he said he’d return for Spring.

The Polish star went down with a horrible ACL tear on international duty with Poland last month, causing panic in the city of Naples.

Milik began the season by blasting four Serie A goals in seven games, justifying his 32 million price-tag and helping fans forget about Gonzalo Higuain.

His recent comments on his injury, while completely right (“I have a long career ahead of me”), Napoli fans were worried when he talked about his return, with Doctor Mariani having said that he could be back after 90-100 days.

Now, the professor who operated on Milik claims that he “could give him back to the Coach in
    4-5 months”.

The truth, then, could well be between the two versions. In hindsight, three months was exceedingly optimistic for a ligament tear. Just ask Kevin Strootman!

Best case scenario, Milik could be back in February. Meanwhile, he continues his rehab by working on strengthening his muscles, especially with exercises in the swimming pool.
