Palermo’s president Maurizio Zamparini released an interview with the Italian paper Tuttosport, revealing the interest of AC Milan and other teams for the Rosanero star Franco Vazquez.

“I am not going to sell Vazquez in January, otherwise supporters will kill me. At the same time there is little doubt that this is Vazquez’s last season with us.

“He costs at least € 30 million. Berlusconi is really interested in him, but there are other three or four teams interested in his services.”

Milan could ask to reduce the player’s price-tag adding in the deal the likes of Suso, José Mauri and M’Baye Niang, who are all reported to be edging a San Siro exit, at least on a six months loan in January. Keisuke Honda has also asked to quit the club in the next transfer window.

The Rossoneri could sign Kevin-Prince Boateng as a free agent in January, while Jeremy Menez is still out of action for a serious back injury which has prevented him to play one single game this term after having plundered 16 goals in the last Serie A campaign.
