Milan's new Sporting Director: Bigon in pole position
“Under construction”, the best words to describe the new era at Milan both on and off the field. In two months’ time, the new Chinese owners will invest €85 million into the club and now the search is on for a new Sporting Director. After the difficulties encountered in trying to bring Walter Sabatini to Milanello from Roma, and Berta seemingly locked into a contract at Atletico Madrid, the new name in the frame looks to be Riccardo Bigon, currently operating in the same role at Bologna. The next step after this will be to bring two former giants of the club back to work in an executive role; the obvious candidates are Albertini and Maldini.
