Lapadula: "I came to Milan because of Berlusconi. To the fans I promise..."
Milan are on their way to England where they will face Bournemouth in a friendly on Saturday. A few minutes before departure, striker Gianluca Lapadula spoke to waiting journalists about what he wants to get from the game, explaining that; “After a little absence it’s important for me to find space in the team”.
Asked about his role in the squad he replied; “My role is to play as a target man and I have to adapt to this. The coach (Montella) has told me to get game-time in my legs”.
BERLUSCONI – “I’m one of the last signings of the Berlusconi era and this is one reason I came to Milan. His confidence was a driving factor”.
MONTELLA – “The boss likes to juggle the team and demands a lot of quality just like my former coach Oddo. I did very well in his system and I hope to do the same here”.
PHYSICAL PROBLEMS – “I’m working to get back into the first-team as soon as possible. We are at a good point”.
PERSONAL GOALS – “I can say that in attack we have a lot of options, I promise not to make mistakes and always have the right attitude on the field”.
