Milan: offer from China for Honda: the details
Keisuke Honda does not seem to figure in the future plans of Vincenzo Montella at Milan. Having played only 18 minutes so far this season, his future at the rossoneri is in the balance. This situation, combined with the fact that his current deal expires in 2017 could lead to a January departure.
THE DOUBTS OF HONDA:
According to reports from China, the 30-year-old is wanted by Shanghai SIPG who currently sit fourth in the in the Chinese Super-League, 17 points off leaders Guangzhou Evegrande and are coached by the familiar face of Sven Goran Eriksson. To take the Japanese international, Shanghai are prepared to table an offer of around €3 million. Calciomercato.com understands however, that Honda is reluctant to accept, preferring to wait until to see if a better proposal arrives from the Premier League or La Liga. Eriksson’s future in charge of Shanghai looks bleak with South Korean Choi Kang-Lee rumoured to be replacing him at the helm.
