Milan, Napoli target Giroud 'not leaving Arsenal in January', says agent

It appears that Olivier Giroud is going nowhere, and certainly not to Milan or Napoli, if his agent is to be credited.

With the Daily Mirror linking the French international to the likes of AC Milan and Napoli (via Footmercato) at the beginning of November, things looked very exciting for fans of both sides, especially the Partenopei.

Giroud’s deal expires in 2018, but has only played seven Premier League games this season, scoring three times.

Yet agent Michael Manuello had something to say about his client being mentioned in the transfer columns:
"I have never spoken to Italian clubs," Manuello told Foot Mercato.

"Olivier feels really good at Arsenal. He's going to finish the season here. Nothing will happen in January.

"He has no intention of moving during the winter transfer window."

Wenger was actually very positive about his striker, saying that he “admired his character".

"Look at the Euros. The fans didn’t want anything to do with him at the start of it but he managed to turn things around. It’s one of his strong points”.
