Inter could offload Brozovic, Banega this winter
The Gazzetta dello Sport have the scoop, claiming that, because the Milanese side needs to sell to respect Financial Fair Play, and reinforce their squad to compete for European places.
In this light, the Croatian could well be on his way out.
Having signed a new deal with the Nerazzurri, Brozovic will probably end up costing more. He now earns €2.5 million a year until 2021. He was signed in January 2015 for €11m.
With Inter spending nearly €130m this summer on new players, they’ll need to sell in January to balance the books, and offloading Geoffrey Kondogbia simply isn’t enough. Beyond Brozovic, Ever Banega could also leave, having arrived on a free last summer. Brozovic won’t, for his part, be sold for anything less than €25-30m this summer.
The 24-year-old was the subject of interest of Chelsea and Arsenal both in January 2016, and last summer. The Gazzetta now confirm that unspecified “Premier League clubs” have been roused by the news of Brozovic potentially being on the transfer block.
