Milan likely to keep Arsenal target Bacca, who is likely to start tomorrow
For someone who hasn’t started in a while, the Colombian’s position appears to be fragile, but his agent’s recent protestations aren’t just empty bombast.
Coach Vincenzo Montella has spent weeks prodding at the former Sevilla striker, but was rather effusive in his praise in today’s press conference, even dropping some heavy hints that he may be starting.
The former Club Brugge man has been linked to a move to both PSG and Arsenal, to name two players.
Sevilla have also popped up in the last few hours, and are being linked with an attempt to bring him back.
Yet Coach Montella has even gone as far as to say that the Milan striker would take penalties if he was on the pitch, revealing that M’Baye Niang - who has missed two in a row - wouldn’t be responsible for them any more.
According to our sources, Montella simply isn’t convinced by the idea of letting Bacca go in January, obviously seeing Gianluca Lapadula as someone who needs more time to develop. When in form, Bacca has smashed in goal, managing six in Serie A play in August and September… before going quiet.
