When Marcello Lippi took his Juventus side to the San Siro in April 1997, few would have predicted the incredible 90 minutes that lay ahead. The bianconeri were two goals ahead just after the half-hour mark thanks to Vladimir Jugović and a Zinedine Zidane penalty and everyone expected a Milan backlash in the second-half.

Any hopes of that disappeared just six minutes after the interval when Jugović grabbed his second of the game. 20 minutes later, a young striker called Christian Vieri made it 4-0 and two minutes after that, Nicola Amoruso grabbed his sides fifth. Marco Simone scored a wonderful consolation goal for the hosts before Vieri got his second of the afternoon nine minutes from time.
