Merkel is leaving in co-ownership, Astori transferred to Cagliari, Verdi, Donnarumma, Strasser, Paloschi (despite Galliani's denials) dumped in Serie B or a team in Serie A that is fighting not to be relegated. The Milan of the future will have interesting young players (El Shaarawy, Pato, Boateng), but they are not a product of their youth sector. Additionally, apart from Antonini (who is liked by Psg) and Abate, put in the first team by Leonardo, and  Ambrosini, 34, the Milan2011-2012 will not have players from his youth sector.

The new Rossoneri policy doesn't allow anymore the integration in the first team of the players of their youth team, as happened last season with Merkel and Strasser. Who is part of the youth team is now sent away to mature, with the risk that they will never get accostumed to top class football, building up a winning mentality. The financial fair play seems not be worrying Galliani and Co.

Barcelona's model, that launched phenomenal young players like Messi, Piqué, Pedro Xavi and Iniesta and also others like Muniesa, Bartra, Thiago Alcantara, Jeffren or Dos Santos, clearly did not teach Milan a lesson.
