Another priority for Milan is the signing of a new center back, as none of their current defenders seem capable to give certain warrants to coach Filippo Inzaghi: for this reason, the rossoneri’s Director of Football Rocco Maiorino has been constantly observing Fluminense 19-year-old Marlon Santos da Silva Barbosa, aka Marlon: considered the heir of Thiago Silva, the young player as two and a half more years on his contract with the Tricolor, who could let him go for about 5 million euros. Meanwhile, the Lombard club is dealing with the situation of its winger Alessio Cerci: arrived in January on loan from Atletico Madrid, the 27-year-old keeps on sitting on the bench, and, interviewed by Rai, his girl-friend has expressed all the disappointment for such situation. Also Serie A defending champions Juventus are seeking a new midfielder, and, as well known, are interested in Zenit Saint Petersburg 26-year-old Axel Witsel: interviewed by Voetbalkrant.com, the Belgium international has admitted that a transfer to the bianconeri is an option and that Turin would be an agreeable destination.
