Milan sent scouts to watch PSV star Adam Maher
The Rossoneri recently sent scouts to watch the young midfielder play in PSV's Champions League tie against Wolfsburg, and are set to return to the Netherlands in the near future.
Rumours coming out of Holland are that after two-and-a-half years at the Phillips Stadion, the young Dutch-Moroccan player feels ready for a bigger challenge.
Maher has yet to renew his contract, and is waiting for the most enticing offer.
Trouble is, PSV will want at least €15 million for his services, whilst Milan have other options at that position, including Roberto Soriano and Axel Witsel.
Galliani had previously scouted Maher, though a series of factors - namely PSV's high price, Maher's desire to continue his development in Holland away from the risk of a premature burnout - eventually stopped him from making a serious offer.
Someone is set to arrive at the San Siro in January, but exactly who is still up for debate...
