    Mascherano warns Juve: "I hope to stay at Barcelona"

    Javier Mascherano has sent a message to anyone who believes he is looking for a move away from Barcelona this summer. The 32-year-old declared that; "I hope to stay at Barcelona for many more years. At the start of a new season there is always anticipation and I hope it will be another great year".

    IDEAL FOR EUROPE
    Juventus have been trying to gift the combative Argentinian to coach Massimo Allegri, seeing his invaluable experience in Europe as a key to the bianconeri winning the Champions League. Negotiations have proven to be difficult but Juve executives are still hopeful they can persuade the player to leave the Spanish champions. After comments made at the recent Copa America tournament, there was hope he could arrive in Turin; these latest comments look to have put those hopes on the back-burner for now.
