Martin Caceres could face long layoff with suspected Achilles tendon injury
The 28-year-old, a target of Inter, Milan and Liverpool during this past transfer campaign, got injured in the 62nd minute after jumping to win get the ball with a header.
Caceres, in turn, was carried off on a stretcher, in tears, and was replaced by Daniele Rugani.
“We believe he has suffered an Achilles tendon injury”, Massimiliano Allegri admitted at the end of the game.
“He will undergo a medical check-up tomorrow, let’s hope that results will be better than what we expect.”
