Barcelona: Everton play down Lukaku rumours
Everton co-owner Farhad Moshiri, has tried to clear up the situation with striker Romelu Lukaku and a reported move to Barcelona. Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was quoted as saying that the 23-year-old Belgian international frontman “Deserved the chance” to play for the Catalan giants but now Sky Sports claims that Moshiri has tried to set the record straight by explaining that; “His words have been taken out of context. Ronald stated that Lukaku could become one of the best strikers in the world in the next two/three years and that he would certainly not look out of place at his former club”.
Lukaku has been linked with a summer move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs; as well as Barcelona, Juventus have been monitoring his progress for the past two seasons and there have even been recent reports that French champions PSG are also looking to make a move to try to bring him to Paris next season.
