Alberto Aquilani might have been a flop at Anfield Road, but Liverpool are still looking to strengthen their squad with an Italian international – Riccardo Montolivo.

The Fiorentina ace is on his last year of contract and could leave the Viola in June. Despite being linked to Milan, Inter, Roma and Juventus, Montolivo is yet to agree terms with his future club.

The 26-year-old playmaker could be tempted by an experience in the Premier League and the Reds have reportedly offered €6M for his services.
