Liverpool add promising Man Utd target to their shopping list
Thiago Maia is an Olympic champion with U-23 Brazil National team and is considered one of the most promising South American footballers. As our friends at Teamtalk claim, Manchester United were linked with welcoming the player’s services last month.
Thiago Maia is under contract with Santos until 2019 and his club have already rejected an offer of € 18 million from Zenit St. Petersburg. The Russian club are looking for a long time replacement for Axel Witsel who is destined to join Juventus next month.
Both Mourinho and Klopp are monitoring the performances of the 19-year-old starlet, but the German tactician is hopeful that Brazilian stars already playing at Anfield Road like Coutinho, Firmino and Lucas Leiva can persuade their compatriot to join the Anfield hierarchy either in January or at the end of the season.
