Lazio v Napoli suspended for racist chanting

The Serie A game Lazio v Napoli has been suspended due to alleged racist chanting heard by the referee Massimiliano Irrati.

The match was suspended in the 67th minute for about four minutes due to chanting apparently directed to Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly. Lazio supporters have also allegedly offended the city of Naples in a classic ‘territorial discrimination’ case.

Now, the Biancocelesti might face a heavy fine and could also be imposed the punishment of playing without audience in the next home games.
