Lazio, Inzaghi: "Keita's absence in January is a blow. I will talk with the club"
Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi has spoken to Radio Anch’Io Lo Sport about losing striker Keita Balde to the African Cup of Nations in January. He explained that; “From here until Christmas we have five games and we must stay concentrated on these. For sure, losing Keita in the new year will be a blow but I will speak with the club to see what we can do”.
The 21-year-old has been in sparkling form since being recalled to the side after disciplinary problems marred the start of his campaign. With the transfer window on the horizon, Milan have made it clear that they are interested in bringing Keita to the San Siro although biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito, is anxious to tie the youngster down to a new deal in the capital. There is also interest from the Premier League, with Everton reportedly monitoring the situation closely as they look for striking alternatives to Romelu Lukaku.
