Juventus want to sign Chelsea defender to solve their injury crisis

Juventus’ injury crisis forces the Serie A giants to change their transfer strategies for the January window. With Dani Alves and Bonucci out for several months and Giorgio Chiellini always struggling with fitness, the Old Lady is considering signing Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The 32-year-old defender has six months left in his contract with the Premier League table leaders and new Blues boss Antonio Conte is not getting him regular game time.
Juventus are interested in signing the Serbian International for two main reasons: the first one is that he can play as both centre-back and right back, the second one is Ivanovic’s availability to play the Champions League knock-out stage from February.

Manchester United’s target Victor Lindelof is also a target of Juventus, but the defender’s € 30 million price-tag and the competition of the Red Devils have discouraged Juventus from signing the solid rock 22-year-old defender in the winter transfer window.

Will Ivanovic help Juventus to solve their injury crisis?
