Juventus to offer €7 million for Chelsea, Saints target Diawara
It would be an understatement to claim that Amadou Diawara is being courted by Europe's finest. So far, the young Bologna star has attracted a number of Premier League clubs, most notably Chelsea, who have always kept their eyes peeled for the best prospects out there.
With the Bundesliga also knocking on the door, smaller clubs like Southampton will have their work cut out to reel him in.
The same goes, of course, for Juventus, who we can exclusively reveal are ready to make a €7 million offer for the 18-year-old midfielder. Having tried and failed to obtain a preliminary agreement with Bologna during the summer, it is obvious that Juventus' talented market duo of Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici are very much committed to adding this tecnically skilled, tactically astute player to the Old Lady's roster.
The good news is that the Bianconeri are on good terms with Bologna Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino, who benefitted from the Turinese side's help when it came to snatching Godfred Donsah in Cagliari's big fire sale.
The bad news is that Milan are also in the race, though so far Adriano Galliani is offering less money, along with a trade.
The real problem, however, is that Diawara's dream would be to play in the Premier League, which is what his agents are working towards. So far, however, we only have information of talks with EPL clubs.
Will Juventus' ploy work?
