Juventus update: Pjaca's medical bulletin released
A fibula fracture would have meant a a lay-off of two months at least.
16.24 - Bad news for Juventus as Croatian starlet Marko Pjaca has picked up an injury while on duty with his national team.
Pjaca, 21, will not play the incoming World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Finland.
The player, who moved from Dynamo Zagreb to Juventus in a € 24 million deal last summer, was initially thought to suffer a calf injury, but the Croatian football association has announced that the Old Lady’s attacking midfielder could have picked up a fibula fracture, which means he could remain out of action for 45 days at least.
Juventus are sweating over the fitness of the talented winger as Massimiliano Allegri risks remaining short of options up front with the likes of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain who would be the only players eligible to play in a two-man attack.
Pjaca, however, has been given short of game time this term as he could only play 135 minutes in all competitions so far and has never started a game yet.
