EXCLUSIVE: Juventus' Morata turned down Real summer offer
With Chicharito Hernandez’s loan ending and Morata having scored in both UEFA Champions League semi-final legs against Real Madrid, the Merengues boss believed Morata to be the key to completing Rafael Benitez’s attack.
As Fabrizio Romano’s report details, however, Perez was received negative responses from Marotta, Paratici and Morata, the latter of whom opting to stay in Turin and continue his footballing growth with the Old Lady.
It must be specified that the clause allowing Real Madrid to buy Morata back wasn’t valid in 2015, whilst it will be in 2016.
Right now, the ball’s in Real Madrid’s court, though Morata himself may affect it too, depending on whether the Bianconeri choose to offer him a raise or not.
The deal will be a complex one, and one that would likely see the Galacticos make an offer of 35 million, which will likely increase to 38 once bonuses are factored in.
