Juventus, Milan competing over Fabregas, Keita Balde January swoop

Juventus and Milan are competing in the market for a number of players, including Chelsea supersub Cesc Fabregas.

The Spaniard provided Diego Costa with a wonderful assist against Manchester City, helping the Pensioners draw level.

They would eventually come out 3-1 winners, earning rave reviews from team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Spaniard has long been targeted by the likes of Milan, who need to add some quality to their midfield. The Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoJuve) claim that Fabregas is also being pursued by Juventus, a trail many had assumed had gone cold of late.

Both sides are in desperate need of some quality in the middle, Juventus because of their numerous injuries, the Rossoneri because of their minimal summer transfer window.

There’s another name the two sides are competing over: Keita Balde Diao, who has been a star for Lazio this season, despite not shining in Sunday’s derby loss to Roma (2-0).

There’s a problem for the Rossoneri, however: beyond the fact that the sale to the Chinese Consortium has been delayed to February, there are further problems: even if he were to receive the 100 million promised him, owner Silvio Berlusconi can do what he pleases with that sum. Even keep it for Fininvest...
