Juventus’ midfield update: Fabregas for sale, Newcastle lower Sissoko price-tag?

Juventus are still desperate to sign a replacement for Paul Pogba who joined Manchester United in a world-record bid earlier this summer.

Both Giuseppe Marotta and Massimiliano Allegri said yesterday that the Old Lady is not going to sign a random midfielder in the last three days of the transfer market, though they are going to pick only those players who can really raise the level of the team than can already rely on the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Claudio Marchisio, Sami Khedira, Kwadwo Asamoah, Mario Lemina and Hernanes.

The Old Lady’s hopes of signing PSG ace Blaise Matuidi were broken earlier this week when the French side’s owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi declared that he wants to extend the Frenchman’s stay at the Parc des Princes offering him a new contract.

Axel Witsel and Luiz Gustavo are still on the Old Lady’s sights but Zenit’s request for the Belgium International is too high as the Russian side has slapped € 30 million price-tag on their star, despite Witsel’s contract expires in 2017. Luiz Gustavo’s € 25-30 million price-tag is also too much for the Serie A side.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas and Moussa Sissoko have also emerged as possible new signings for the J Stadium side.

According to today’s edition of the Sun, the Spaniard is available on the market as Antonio Conte believes that the former Arsenal and Barcelona man is not vital for his system at Chelsea, so much so Fabregas remained on the bench for the whole Stamford Bridge’s Burnley clash yesterday.

More good news are coming from Newcastle, where, according to TopCalcio24, the Magpies are going to lower Moussa Sissoko’s € 40 million price-tag. The Frenchman is still with no official appearances in the Championship this season and keeping him on the bench until January would only further decrease his market value, which is why Rafa Benitez should try to sell the highly-rated midfielder for less than € 40 million before the summer transfer window shuts.

Will anyone of them join the J Stadium to replace to most expensive player in the history of the game?
