Juve push for a World Super-League to replace the Champions League: details

The Daily Mirror reports that there will soon be a new revolution in the world of football. The journal states that a midweek competition, a World Super-League, to replace the Champions League, is a distinct possibility.

Three of Europe’s heavyweight clubs, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are reportedly keen on the idea as it would not affect any of the domestic leagues. Jacco Swart, director of EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues) explained that; “Nobody van stop this evolution within the next five-years and we will see a global competition. It will be an exclusive party where only the world’s biggest clubs will be invited. The economic gap between the richest and poorest clubs is set to grow bigger and bigger”.
