Juve: lead on Van Persie. Inter: Thiago Motta farther?
Juventus keep on seeking a new forward, and, as well known, one of their main targets for such position is Paris Saint-Germain 28-year-old Edinson Cavani: interviewed vy Sky Sport, the Uruguayan international has been quite elusive about the possibility to join the bianconeri; on the other hand, the Serie A defending champions are ready to swoop on Manchester United 31-year-old Robin Van Persie, who didn’t get many chances to play during the last season and could then replace 29-year-old Fernando Llorente –intended to join Valencia- in Turin. The Piedmont’s club is also seeking a new midfielder, even because the future of 21-year-old Paul Pogba remains uncertain (according to the Daily Star, Manchester City are ready to make an important offer for the Frenchman): 27-year-old Radja Nainggolan –currently in co-ownership between AS Roma and Cagliari- remains a concrete option, and for the moment the rossoblu and the giallorossi have not found an agreement. Also Inter Milan are seeking a midfielder, and, interviewed by calciomercato.com, Alessandro Canovi, agent of Paris Saint-Germain 33-year-old Thiago Motta, has confirmed that the nerazzurri are in talks with his client, but has outlined that the fact that Manchester City 32-year-old won’t probably join doesn’t mean that the Brazilian-born Italian player is closer; moreover, the Ligue 1 champions’ president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has declared that he thinks that Motta will finally stay.
