Juve: idea of Cuadrado for after Zaza
The crazy summer transfer window of Juventus continues at pace and the latest name to be linked with a move to Turin is a former player; Colombian Juan Cuadrado. With Simone Zaza on his way to Wolfsburg, the bianconeri has three out and out strikers, Dybala, Higuain and Mandzukic. They also have Pjaca and now they will return to the pursuit of Cuadrado, who enjoyed a successful season on-loan with the Old Lady last season.
At the end of the last campaign, Juve decided not to take the 28-year-old on a permanent deal; the €20 million price-tag the main reason behind this. New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has never hid his admiration for the player but in last-night’s league opener against West Ham, Cuadrado was not even named amongst the substitutes; a move that surely means he is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Despite a number of already supremely talented wide men in the shape of Dani Alves, Alex Sandro, Evra and Aasamoah, Cuadrado has the advantage of already knowing the Juve environment and is seen as someone who would fit seamlessly back into the squad. Another season-long loan deal is in the pipeline and the Colombian may be making a quick return to Turin.
