Juve, eyes towards Bergamo. Conti and Caldara under observation
Atalanta have has a great start to the 2016-17 Serie A season. The Bergamo club currently sit in sixth place in the standings after Sunday’s 3-0 win against Genoa. It’s a halcyon period for the team of Gian Piero Gasperini with so many young players demonstrating their undoubted quality.
Atalanta games are being watched by a host of scouts from all over Europe and yesterday, a delegation from Juventus were there to observe defenders Andrea Conti and Mattia Caldara. 22-year-old Conti is also being monitored by both Inter and Napoli and Caldara, also 22 has yet to be on the losing side this season having chalked up four wins and a draw in his five appearances for the club.
The Old Lady are always planning for the future and with Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini both in the twilight of their careers, CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Paratici are searching for top-class young talent to play alongside Daniele Rugani who is already making great strides in Turin.
