Just in: Inter want Pirlo?
Sportsmediaset claims that the Nerazzurri manager has been assiduously courting the former Milan and Juve playmaker, the idea being to bring him back to Italy on a David Beckham-style loan during the break in the MLS season.
The New York City FC player would thus be rejoining Inter, the club that famously didn't believe in him when he was younger, eventually sending him to AC Milan for 33 billion Italian lire, about €18 million today. We daresay they may have regretted that one.
The Nerazzurri could definitely do with some creativity in midfield, where enforcer Felipe Melo has a knack for getting sent off, and Geoffrey Kondogbia still has to find his true calling.
Pirlo played for four seasons for Juventus, winning as many Serie A titles and notching 16 goals in 119 games.
