'It's not sure that Berardi will join Juve' agent tells CM
The 21-year-old striker Domenico Berardi is one of Sassuolo’s most positive notes: 32 goals in 82 games, the Calabrese player is keeping the neroverdi in the higher part of the Serie A table. Tracked by many European top clubs as Tottenham and Barcelona, the youngster seems intended to join Juventus. The player’s agent Simone Seghedoni told calciomercato.com: “The national team? It’s not true that he argued with the manager. In November, Conte called him, but he couldn’t join the azzurri because of an injury. We haven’t heard from the manager in the last two weeks, so if he won’t be called it will be because of technical matters. Of course he dreams to play for Italy, but it’s up to Conte. Now, he is focused on Sassuolo only. Regarding the possibility for his client to join Juventus at the end of the season, Seghedoni said: “It’s true, there is a kind of gentlemen’s agreement with the bianconeri. This doesn’t mean that he will join them for sure in June. It will be up to the player to choose. Inter and Tottenham after him? All I can say is that we received many offers, from Italy and from abroad. He has always been an Inter fan, but I can’t confirm their interest as we are only in March”.
