Inter target Kompany wants Man City stay

Vincent Kompany doesn’t want to leave Manchester City in the January window, The Daily Telegraph reports. The Belgium International is being linked with leaving the Etihad Stadium in the winter transfer window as he’s been struggling with injuries since the beginning of the campaign, failing to get regular playing time under Pep Guardiola.

Kompany is believed to be a transfer target of Inter as the Serie A giants are known to be looking for some defence reinforcement. The 30-year-old defender, however, is said to be determined to stay at Manchester City until the end of the season, fighting for a spot in the citizens’ starting XI.

The San Siro outfit are being linked with several defenders as also Sassuolo centre-back Francesco Acerbi is on the nerazzurri radars, whilst Manchester United outcast Matteo Darmian has emerged as possible reinforcement in the January window.

Kompany has only registered four appearances in all competitions so far this season, two in Premier League and two in League Cup.
