Arrived last January as a free agent after being released by Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Croatian full back Ivan Strinic has had many good performances at Napoli.

The 28-year-old's situation has changed dramatically with the arrival on the azzurri’s bench of Maurizio Sarri, who gave him only two chances to start. For this reason, the Croatia international will probably leave the “San Paolo” stadium during the next transfer window.

As revealed by calciomercato.com, last Summer Inter Milan have tried to sign the Croatia international, but the Lombard club has considered too high the €15 million transfer fee required by the azzurri and finally signed Ales Telles.

The same media report the concrete interest shown by Sampdoria, but the nerazzurri can’t afford to pay such amount; on the other hand, the player’s agent Tonci Martic has been seen talking with Southampton’s executives.
