Next Inter manager: New meeting with Marcelino today, Zola linked with the job
The Serie A giants will name their new manager within hours; the identity of Frank De Boer’s successor will be probably unveiled between the next 24-48 hours.
Suning met candidates for the Inter job yesterday and Marcelino is said to be the one who impressed Inter owners the most. A final decision will be taken in the next few hours with Stefano Pioli and Guus Hiddink who are still credible candidates to take over at Inter.
The Dutch boss was rumoured not to be interested in the position, but has not formally refused the offer yet and remains in race to become Inter’s new manager.
Marcelino, however, had dinner in Milan with Kia Joorabchian in Milan city centre yesterday night, one more proof that the Spaniard could be the chosen one to replace De Boer as Joorabchian is probably Suning’s most trusted advisor having already helped the Serie A club to make some business last summer.
Marcelino is still in Milan where he will have a new meeting with Inter representatives today. The meeting will be held at 4 pm in Milan city centre. According to Sky Italia, however, Suning are also considering Gianfranco Zola as a potential replacement for Frank De Boer and could meet the former Chelsea star today as well.
