Inter: ongoing meeting with Marcelino’s agent
The meeting is taking place in Milan’s Bulgari hotel which is also where the Spanish tactician met Kia Joorabchian yesterday night.
Marcelino is the leading candidate to become Inter’s new boss. The former Villareal manager met Inter owners and Kia Joorabchian yesterday. Jorabchian is the most trusted advisor of Suning and Eugenio Botas is now having a meeting with both him and Inter representatives.
The Iranian-British agent helped the nerazzurri to seal the transfer of Jao Mario last summer and also suggested Inter to hire De Boer to replace Roberto Mancini last August.
It comes as a huge surprise, however, that Inter owners trust Kia’s opinion more than the ones of both Javier Zanetti and Piero Ausilio who are serving as vice-president and sporting director at the club. Zanetti and Ausilio back Stefano Pioli to take over as Inter boss.
Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has also emerged as a possible candidate for the Inter job, but Marcelino still tops Suning’s shortlist.
