Inter: meeting for Lavezzi. AC Milan: Munoz farther

Inter Milan's priority for the imminent transfer window is the signing of a new external forward, and, as well known, one of their main targets for such position is Arsenal 29-year-old Lukas Podolski, as perhaps confirmed last night by the nerazzurri's coach Roberto Mancini; during yesterday's press conference, the English club's manager Arsene Wenger has expressed the wish to keep the former Bayern Munich player and has rubbished the rumors regarding the Lombard club's interest. Meanwhile, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter keep on observing the situation of Paris Saint-Germain same-aged Ezequiel Lavezzi, and a meeting between the French club's coach Laurent Blanc and the nerazzurri's General Manager Marco Fassone is scheduled for today. In any case, the Lombard club is also evaluating some alternatives, like -as reported by Tuttosport- Bayern Munich 23-year-old Xherdan Shaqiri, who is also a target for Juventus and AS Roma. Inter are also seeking a midfielder, and Mancini himself has confirmed that his club is evaluating the situation of 29-year-old Lassana Diarra.
City rivals AC Milan are on the contrary focused on reinforcing their team's defense, and as, reported in the last days, are keen on Manchester City 21-year-old Matija Nastasic: as outlined by calciomercato.com, the rossoneri have more chances than Juventus to obtain the Serbia international, but this latter seems intended to join Schalke 04, as confirmed to Bild by the German club's president Clemens Tonnies. Another option for the Lombard club remains Palermo 25-year-old Ezequiel Munoz, but as reported by the Corriere dello Sport, also Lazio are interested in the Argentine.
